In recent years, Burger King has undergone a radical transformation in its global brand. The burger chain now boasts over 11,000 restaurants in 46 countries and it is among the top five fast food chains in the world.

So how do Burger Kings around the world compare? In order to find out, we surveyed Burger King customers in the UK about their experiences with the restaurant.

What we discovered was that there are a few key factors that contribute to a great Burger King experience – quality ingredients, attention to detail, and cleanliness/sanitation. Surprisingly, however, customer satisfaction wasn’t as high as we would have thought given all of these factors. This could be because UK customers are more demanding than their counterparts elsewhere in Europe or North America.

Regardless of this decrease in satisfaction ratings, one thing is for sure – customers appreciate a good Burger King meal!

Burger King Menu Selection

When it comes to menu selection, Burger King clearly targets those who want quick and easy meal choices. The company offers a limited range of burgers (eight in total), with no option for customization or substitution.

Furthermore, there are only three options for fries – plain, garlic salt or chili salt – no variation other than these spices is possible. While these limitations may be frustrating for some customers, they make it easy for those who just want something simple and straightforward.

In comparison, McDonald’s offers significantly more variety both in terms of burger types and fries options. For example, it offers twelve burger options along with six separate fry combinations. Additionally, many McDonald’s locations offer a wider range of vegetarian and vegan friendly menu items.

As a result, even if someone doesn’t particularly care for burgers they may be more likely to enjoy some of the other menu items available at McDonald’s.
The high degree of menu customization available at Subway seems to appeal to a different type of customer altogether.

Burger King Feedback Survey Details

In light of the recent news that Burger King is to close all its UK stores, we wanted to know what customers thought of their experience at the fast food chain.

To collect this feedback, Burger King set up an online survey which was open between 3rd and 10th January 2017. The survey was available in both English and Welsh and took around 10 minutes to complete.

The results are in, and they’re not good. Only 18% of customers said that they would recommend the chain to a friend, while only 14% said that they would definitely return in the near future. More than half (54%) of those who completed the survey reported that their overall experience at Burger King was negative – with complaints ranging from slow service to poor quality food.
